No, Manikins are weak as piss. They're literally one of the weakest things in the game.
There are two special Manikins, though - Futomimi and Sakahagi. Futomimi will almost certainly be the Kotowari leader, and if Sakahagi's in the phalla he'll be a lone wolf.
I still think we should kill VisibleHowl, though, just to give the other factions this info.

Yeah, reading up on it, they ARE weak as piss. VH seems like a regular manikin so I dunno. They still might have a faction kill though. Reading up more on the Candelbra: megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Candelabrum11 total, 10 in this game? I must have Chokmah, the wisdom one.

11 total, 10 in this game? I must have Chokmah, the wisdom one. The 5 of us all have one, obviously, and it's reasonable to assume Dante and the Demi-Fiend have them. If the leaders of the other factions have one each, that's all 11.

... so, how high-risk a strategy would it be for me to reveal VH's role to the thread, and request a guard and seering?

I got a PM saying that nine flames glow off in the distance but it's not clear from where

... so, how high-risk a strategy would it be for me to reveal VH's role to the thread, and request a guard and seering? To reveal the role... you'd have to be a seer. Claim to be a neutral seer? Then once a faction seer looks at you, they'll wonder why there's two seers in their club and that needs to be explained. But since they see that you're part of their faction, they may risk contacting you anyways so voting out VH then would work to prove your ability and make it less likely you're a thrall. Kills aren't documented though, apparently, so you can claim vig and ask for seering and guarding. VH could be a viable target for that but I don't know if you want to reveal it as so.

This is my thinking. I could argue that a faction having two seers was compensated for by CJ making me not masoned. I think I might go ahead and do it (unless any of you think it's a really bad idea?), because I have a ridiculously powerful thrall ability, and we still have a resurrection ability.

It sounds good to me, neutrals want to be seered and dragged into other factions, right? Possible problems include the guardian wondering if you're part of their faction or not. A good gamble is to guard you despite not knowing your faction, but a dumber guardian may just let you die, hoping that you're not with them. Alternatively, how do you know that other seers are in your faction? That would be the reason for outing yourself and asking for a seering. That needs to be covered as well.

I've made the reveal in thread, tell me if you think I've missed anything. Obviously, when I get the PMs tomorrow wondering why I'm part of their faction already I'll say claiming neutrality was a ruse to get my side to contact me.

And a ruse to waste the other factions' seerings.

Of course. I might also justify it in-thread by saying that I'd want to get a safe faction network set-up ASAP, and having two seers know each other would be the quickest way to achieve that.

That last part is riskier, as a group late to the party would rather kill you than waste a seering.
But they may still buy it if you're seered. Asking for folks to contact you is extremely dangerous though in the village's eyes so be careful.

This whole gambit is risky. But fuck, if it works it's going to be a killer.
